The consequences and order of the consequence are at the discretion of the teacher and are in no particular order depending on the appropriate or inappropriate behavior.
Positive consequences are not all inclusive and at the discretion of the teacher

The principal and teachers reserve the option to implement any strategy that they deem necessary to insure an atmosphere that is safe and conducive to learning.
SEVERE CLAUSE: The normal procedure for implementing above consequences may be dispensed with if the behavior is dangerous to self, others, or property.
CONDUCT VIOLATIONS: Students can expect disciplinary actions to be taken if the following offenses occur:
Any marking on desk, walls, books, etc. is considered defacing school property.
Chewing gum (Chewing gum is a willful violation of school rules.) Discipline will be given at the individual teacher's discretion.
Students are not to buy, sell, or trade articles at school.
Toys, radios, tape players, video games, and sports equipment, as well as other personal property, are NOT ALLOWED AT SCHOOL and will be taken up and returned only to the parent. (The school will not assume any responsibility for personal items brought to school.) There are occasional Show-N-Tell days in many classes when some items are allowed in a controlled situation.
MAJOR OFFENSES:
Direct disrespect to a teacher, staff member, or the administration
Fighting/horseplay anywhere on the school property
Profanity
Persistent harassment of others (verbal, written, or physical)
Skipping school
Possession of tobacco, alcohol/drugs, weapons, fireworks of any nature
Failure to serve detention
Failure to obey bus rule
More information regarding the detention program will be available to parents and students at the beginning of the school year.
