Mission Statement

The mission of Westmoreland Elementary School is to educate children through a variety of teaching methods and provide a safe and positive learning environment while building self-esteem, constructing strong moral character, and creating an awareness of responsible, citizenship through the school and the use of parental and community involvement.  It is the goal of Westmoreland Elementary School to create an educational and technological foundation that will prepare the students for the future.

Our Staff Believes:

-teachers have a right to teach and students have a right to learn.

-a safe and orderly environment is conductive to learning.

-teachers hold high expectations for students.

-parental involvement is a key factor to a student's motivation and success in school.

-different learning styles of students are met through a variety of teaching methods, enrichment activities, and the Arts.

-we adhere to reasonable rules, fair treatment of students, and good parent-teacher communication.
